Firstly, we’d like to apologise for this post being late out, since finishing the show it’s been incredibly busy in the office so we haven’t had time to attend to new media!
We attended the Southampton Boat Show from 16th-25th of September with a Nordhavn 52. She is hull 70 and has been based in Ibiza over the last couple of seasons of her ownership. We would like to thank her owners for letting us use Sonas ( which in Irish means Happiness) at the show. Much appreciated.
Dan Streech, President of PAE flew in from California, as he traditionally does, for the show, and took some pictures which were published over on nordhavn’s website, you can view it here: Nordhavn’s post.
Throughout the show, there was a constant stream of visitors, both Nordhavn aficionados and first-time viewers and Sonas went down a storm. Compliments were mainly focused on the build quality and just how well she looked after 10,000 sea miles. Our brand is built to last and take care of her crew.
Some of you may know we’ve been attending the boat show since opening Nordhavn Europe in 2004. Even though it was our 13th appearance there was no need it be superstitious! The show went way above our expectations and the conclusion was 2016 being one of the best shows we have attended. There were positive feelings about the future and terrific feedback of interest in moving into this type of cruising and lifestyle, particularly with market uncertainty and currency fluctuations. Interest in the brand has never been better. We only managed to secure the booking for Sonas a couple of weeks before the show, so it was touch and go at one point as to if we’d be able to attend the show, luckily we did make it
