Irene Robinson has set herself the challenge of playing the bagpipes in 12 iconic locations around the world. She plans to travel 50,000 miles and raise £50,000 for various charities. The owner of a brand new Nordhavn 60 kindly lent his vessel to start Irene on her way. The St Andrews Pipes and Drums, Hamble were gathered at the Royal Southern Yacht club to see Irene off with her first destination being HMS Victory in Portsmouth where she was met by the Royal Navy Pipe Band association to play aboard this famous ship. Annie M Of Kiltaire may not be quite as famous as Nelsons Flagship but she turned many heads as she arrived under the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. Good luck Irene from all of us here at NEL.
